Privacy policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Outside Voices is built to need as little of your information as possible. This page explains exactly what the app does with data.
What we do not collect
- No account, name, email address or phone number.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
What stays on your device
- Your language and region choices, the shows you subscribe to, and a copy of the show catalog.
- Searches and translations are processed on your device. The app uses Apple’s on-device translation, and iOS may download language packs from Apple the first time you use a language.
Connections the app makes
- Our show catalog. The app downloads a list of shows from a server we run on Amazon Web Services. Like any web server, it can record technical details of each request, such as your IP address and the time. We do not link these to who you are.
- Podcast publishers. When you open a show or play an episode, your device contacts the publisher’s own servers for the episode list, audio and artwork. Those publishers can see your IP address and device information, as with any podcast app, and handle it under their own privacy policies.
Children
Outside Voices does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
